/spins you around. I love it when you analyse my fics 8D.

It's fascinating that you can't tell who is in control, because while I was writing it, I was trying to write the scene with the kind of undertone that though Teresa planned this, it's Harper who started it, and it's Richard who has the power to stop it. Basically all three of them have to agree with each other in order to let this happen, and though Teresa is being a bit directorial and she's definitely the one being pushy, it's not entirely by her will as well. /rolls around.

And yes, I'm trying to write Teresa as how she is in the series - that she's strong and she's not weakened by the strength of her love for Richard. That she's a woman, and she's strong as a woman, without having to turn into a stoic stone of a man. Also, the bit about her not wanting to swallow was picked up by you and Helena both, and I am just so secretly pleased by it because it's just those little things that show your past. One of the things I dislike most about Teresa's depiction - which frankly ( ... )

Now this is a very lucky Richard. Very lucky. Very very lucky. That cot must have been really strong... lordy... I now have the most norty thorts about Patrick's particulars. I always felt that Teresa and Richard made love like maniacal animals, as both were lit by the other. But with Pat joining in? By golly.

Just a morning or two in the Life of an officer (ex-ranker) in the 95th Rifles. His trusted Sergeant and his faithful wife. And about the hottest bit of loving I've read so far...

Oh lucky damn bloody RIchard.

Richard is very, very lucky, and the good thing is that he knows it. 8D

Thank you for commenting, lovely, and I'm sorry for being so late!

This was smoking hot and a very interesting take on the love triangle and the power plays. I have no doubt that Teresa is the one in charge here. I do admire the sturdy workmanship of the camp cot, though! :D

Holy Christ I took forever to reply. I'm so sorry!

I really love the disparate discussions about power and control here. 8D And yes, the camp cot is a champion alright. Thanks so much for reading, lovely! ♥

Recently I've read an article by James Cameron about strong women in Hollywood who are basically written as men with a vagina and breasts, and I've been thinking about it while writing this. It's just the idea of the strong woman who is feminine at the same time, and that's why I mentioned both of those - that she's strong, and she's strong as a woman, you know? (Also, in my head, this was when she conceived Antonia. Shush.)

It's the kind of camp etiquette that if you don't flaunt it overtly, people pretend that it doesn't really exist. It's less 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' than 'Keep your bloody mouth shut and your head down'. It's a transparent sort of privacy, and that has its own dangers as well. It's fun, isn't it? 8D

Thank you so much for commenting, Helena, and I'm sorry I took so long to reply. ♥!
