Since I have spent some time in the past 4 or 5 months complaining about hot weather, I'm going to try and even it out by talking about how lovely the weather was yesterday. Without a sweater, it was a bit chilly, but with a sweater it was very nice. The temperature did not quite reach 70F (~21C). My husband and I a few nights ago brought the comforter back out of the closet. We had been sleeping under just a sheet for months. But now that it gets down into the low 70s inside at night, sleeping under the comforter was just lovely. I felt all cozy and warm.
This is a wonderful time of year for my checking account as well. It's cool enough that we don't have to run the AC, but just warm enough that we don't have to turn on the heat at night. It makes a huge difference in the utility bill, which I am responsible for paying. Our kilowatt hour consumption during the summer is ridiculous, even when I turn the thermostat way up during the day. There seems to be no way of avoiding it. This past summer being even hotter than the last few summers, it was particularly bad this year. Hopefully I can cut the bill way down in winter. I am perfectly willing to put on a sweater or get an extra blanket in order to save some money.
Today it is a bit warmer, which should make it just perfect. Between 70 and 75F is my idea of the perfect temperature.
