For many years I have struggled with my Catholic faith. Many things I agreed with, many of them not. History has a way of repeating itself...I am sorry the priest was blind to the sanctity of your love, but I am not surprised. The outdated mode of seclusion, (i.e. my God has a bigger cock than your God) has ruined the spiritual connection people long to make in these religions.
I hope that you do find the path that is right for you and it brings you the fulfillment and happiness you desire and deserve.
