i woke up today to a Sarah McCoughlin song, but I was in that state between dreams and reality, so for a while I thought that the school newspaper was again run by women and we were all listening to her lovely voice after school. The song faded and a man announced that Saddam Hussain was captured. This was one of those mornings where I sprang up saying, "What the fuck?" I turned on the TV. Very interesting to say the least, but all I could think of was how this is going to help the Republicans, and how it worries me that Bush might have a better chance of being re-elected. So I went back to sleep, grumbling about how we were better off this way, what with one dictator down (though of course we won't touch others), but I still can't help wondering why we went in there in the first place. And I would like to know what kind of impact this is going to have. I can't help my distaste for the entire war- will it be worth it, in the end?
I awoke again to go shopping for SPANDEXXXXX.. yesss! I don't know if I'll be able to go running today. It hasn't stopped snowing. at all.
So I think I'll just sit here and read Return of the King, to get pumped for tuesday night.
