> you dont even know what democracy means, do you? cuz it means a hell of a lot more than the right to vote, or to peacefully assemble, for that matter.

Incorrect. I know what a democratic republic is, and I'd have to be a complete idiot not to know that people have the right to vote, and that is how the direction of the country. US or UK.

> without the military, we would have no REASON to protest. our right to protest stems from our humanity, not our government.

Without the military, there would be no framework to even allow protest.

Without the military during World War II, you'd be speaking either German or Japanese. And you would have to pray that you don't have non-aryan ancestry as defined by the Nazi's, or disagree with the Emporor.

> we're fighting the military-industrial complex.

Rather ineffectively, it would seem.

> welcome to america, asshole.

Grow up, please. You don't know me well enough to call me an asshole, certainly not well enough to know how immature you appear to me.

> wake up and smell the oil.

I am quite awake, and have no intention of inhaling toxic fumes.

When you can argue a point without calling people assholes and using idiotic profanity, you might actually be able to convince someone of the merits of your argument.

I think this idea is best summed up by John Lennon, in the song Revolution:

But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow.

I may not agree with you, but I think you'll find that useful for you're protest direction.

don't try to lecture me about what democracy is. contrary to popular delusion, this is not a democracy.
voting isn't democracy, especially when the system is designed in a way that only allows for two parties (I'm sure you've heard of proportional representation). Plus, both parties are corporate war parties. There has never been a working-class party in this country and there never will be, as long as corporate interests have both sides in their collective pockets.

> Without the military, there would be no framework to even allow protest.

I don't even know where to start with this, but maybe I'll just lump this in under 'natural rights' (that concept that is supposedly inalienable). thus, the military does not allow this, we do it.
the people have agency, perhaps you have forgotten.

and your argument that I'd be speaking Japanese or German is horseshit. we provoked Japan into that war (see: blockade), and the Nazis would never have been able to take over the continental United States. too much territory, my friend.
even if we need some military to protect the country, the military we have is out of control and way oversized. we don't need an overseas empire.

I'm done arguing with you.
I have very right to rebel against a corrupt government.

go away.

> Japanese might well have done actually. And unfortunately, there are few survivors of Pearl Harbor to talk sense about that. As for the Germans, must I remind you that they had the technological edge on the US and the UK for a lot of World War II.

too much territory, my friend.

Both sides passed all this through the courts. It's only an issue for you because you're candidate didn't actually win. It's called a close call.

there were no courts involved in ohio in 2004.
plus, the court didnt have the jurisdiction to rule on gore v bush. blackwell just owed bush I a favor.
besides, even if they did, the court can't (has not, and will not) settle voting discrepancies. voting machines are still flawed and on proprietary source code.
and didn't i tell you to go away?
stop swallowing the corporate media whole
