I hardly ever post here...that's no secret to any of you on my friends list. Its really odd because I come here and read others' entries...read all about your ups, your downs, your sideways and inbetweens and, good or bad, I'm always thinking "I wish I had something interesting to write about". And I suppose if I really sat and thought about it, I could certainly pick things to write about and make them sound halfway interesting, but eh... I could tell you how I spent 4 hours trying to clean the garage yesterday or that Ed and I slept in the living room on the couches last night because it was so cozy with the Christmas tree lit...but is that really exciting to anyone other than me? Probably not.
To quote John Lennon: "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." I sort of feel that way about online journals/blogging/spewing out your guts in a public medium. I feel that life is what happens to you while you're too busy posting about it on the internet. It's like when you're on vacation and you try to capture every single moment on camera that, not once, do you let your actual eyes see what's in front of you. This is why I usually have pretty stupid photos from my vacations, and why I go months, almost years, without posting here. Yet I don't like that. I have a pretty bad memory when it comes to actual memories. My memory for pointless facts or celebrities' names is pretty awesome, but for actual things that matter, its not the greatest. My most vivid childhood memories are those of which I actually have photographs...so whether my memories are accurate or just fabricated based on those photos, I am not sure, but I am thankful to have those photos to prove that a moment in time actually happened. So this is probably why I should make more of a point of writing things down.
But in the meantime, I am doing stuff like cooking elbow macaroni with garbanzo beans and taking naps with puppies laying on my tummy, but I don't know how much of that needs to be broadcast on the internet.
But much love to those of you who care :)
