Even though I did ask for it...

...I suspect a trap.

Went to dinner at my Aunt Judy's and there was a particularly massive present in front of her tree. I suspected it might be what it turned out to be but I wasn't sure and it seemed unlikely. Anyway, after a delicious meal I complimented her on her gift, figuring it was probably hers, and that's when my Dad leaned over and said I should open it.

I said it would be rude for me to open her gift...

...and he again said I should open it.

Took a bit of doing, something that big you don't wrap normally but in layers. It was a Sharp HD·TV 26" screen. If I hadn't mentioned this previously, my current TV is kinda compressed in the middle of it's screen, image is collapsing in on itself, which I can watch but is starting to give impressions of people having really pinched faces on the Dreamscape. That'll no longer be a problem with this new thing once I get it home and connected.

Trap: Dad has implied it's no a gift, per se. He said, kinda pulled me aside, that the ball is now in my court and mentioned a letter I never received...so he's going to send me a fresh copy. It seems very much like the TV is a bribe. That could just be me but it's often hard to tell with him.
