I'm admittedly somewhat confused about the specifics of the cable setup I have. My landlord considers wifi and cable to be free utilities for all that live here, and he changes it periodically every few years. Little bit of xfinity, bit of comcast, don't actually get cable channels at the moment but more like a wider range of basic TV channels.
One constant to the situation is that when there's a heavy storm, reception gets fritzy. Varies across channels, some it doesn't impact at all. Anywho, the rain is coming down like bullets at the moment and the wind has been knocking over trees across the Bay Area.
