I haven't written in a long time. A lot of things have happened. We finally moved to chicago on sunday, we started on saturday but the snow forced us to stop for the night and get a hotel room which made me miss my first day of work out there. So I ended up starting at the St. Charles Von Maur on tuesday and it seems like it won't be too bad. It's a bigger store but its still extremely slow. We've been living in Candlewood hotels which are for extended stays and they allow the pets to be there. We closed on our house on friday which was suppost to be an exciting day for us but it turned out to be a very sad day. Brian got a phone call a few hours after closing from his uncle to tell him that his step father had killed himself. It's been a really bad couple of days. No one saw this coming. His mom is having a really hard time with it as is to be expected. It's really hard to see her so upset. We had just seen him last week on thursday for Brian's and my going away dinner. He seemed fine and happy. It still doesn't seem real. None of us know what to do or what to say to her, how do you comfort someone who just lost the love of their life, someone who took their own life by choice. Things just seem so surreal right now.
