It's official,
the WGA is going on strike !
Of course, the web is is already going crazy with rumors. For example I just read that Heroes will reshoot Ep 11 (in words: ELEVEN!) to use it as this year's season finale! And yes, it's just a rumor for now, but the source is very credible. :(
I still don't feel informed enough to say who's right or wrong in all of this but one thing I know for sure: IT SUCKS!
I don't want 10-episode seasons, I don't want my favorite new shows cancelled because keeping the sets wouldn't be economic, I don't want more crappy reality shows. But well, no one's asking me, I guess.
I think we'll learn more about what it means for each of our shows soon. But maybe it's better not trying to know and live in a happy world of denial until there are no new episodes left in February.
I'm going to skip the review part for this week, with one exception, because the episode simply deserves it:
Chuck 1x06: Yes, this was even better than the pilot. I'll try to list all the awesome things but will probably still forget some..:
- I liked Morgan! :O
- I liked Laszlo. He was an interesting character and a plausible villain.
- Loved all of the Captain's scenes. "Wait until you see my snake!" *lol*
- "That's ... outstanding!"
- All those awesome references. Bond, War Games, American Gothic (movie), Dune (duh!), The O.C. Comic Con.
- Loved Casey, his robe, the Reagan-picture *lmao* and his pain having to listen to the sandwich discussion.
- "Heavy is the head that wears the crown" ,"You gave me goosebumps"
- "Hey, you, in the Gordon Gecko costume" *lol*
- How awesome was that sandworm-costume (and people calling it "Sea cucumber" or "space penis" respectively)
- And don't get me started on Sarah's costume *drool*
- And Morgan of all characters had my favorite line tonight: "They're calling for the worm, Bro"
As I said, there was even much more. I love this show so much and just hope there is a way it will make it through the whole strike thing.
