It's a 50/50

Is everyone still over-stuffed? I think I need lots of water to rinse out all the food and salt LOL Oh, and sugar. Darn you sugar.

Thanksgiving was nice, but the break from work is better. Today, i didn't get up til Noon; 15 hours of beautiful sleep. I think the only reason I got up was due to the 'my back hurts from laying down too long' syndrome.

The day before Thanksgiving brought on an ordeal.
James is probably out of a job.
The place he works for is not only under financial problems, but also a bit on the retarded side. They said they're strapped for cash because they hired a 'secretary' (the guy's sister-in-law who barely speaks English [she's Korean]) that they couldn't afford. They pretty much told him they'll call him when they need him. Hmmm... a company who prefers to pay a crappy secretary or their only software/IT guy. Right. It really couldn't have come at a worse time. My car is going to need to go in for some major repairs, tags are due, we wanted to start saving for a baby, and I had great plans for Christmas stuff but now, I'm back to 'make the pennies' stretch. I'm really thankful that my check covers all of the major expenses; rent, school loans, insurance, phones, bills etc. but the extra cash afforded us to spoil the pets with top quality food, some extra spending cash for both of us and money that could be put into savings.

It's hard on me, so I know it's harder on him. He's a man about things so he locks up about it and doesn't say much. I just hope he finds something quickly for both our sanity and well being. Meanwhile, it's back to budgeting tightly.

The next week at work is going to be insane. I've got two books due that we've been trying to do in the midst of every department needing a HUGE project from us. I don't think they quite understand how long it takes to do things. It seems like everyone thinks Photoshop is for anyone. It kind of is, if you want things to look like a kid did them. If you want things to look like a professional did their job, it's going to take a bit longer.

I might also be going to MN again for a press check in the middle of the month. Thankfully it's not so close to Christmas where the chances of me getting snowed in are higher. Hmmm.... Mall of America during the holiday's; can someone send me luck to win the lottery?
