Manic Monday
I wish it were Sunday, or at least Friday.
I spoke to my mother about the refinance thing and I told her I couldn't do it. She was clearly upset at me and even left me talking as she went to be upset at me in her bedroom. I sat in the living room with my dad and explained it to him. He obviously knew where I was coming from and just said, "Oh well, what can ya do right?" - right. My mom came out later and was at least more calm. I was talking to my sister before I hung out with my brother and a new lady friend of his. She's in school for animation, so she's taking Photoshop at the moment and required my help. My nephew is adorable. He kept asking me for donuts and when we left, he gave James and I a kiss. CUTE.
James and I drove up to Oxnard to visit with a friend of mine who was in from Washington visiting her fiance. She is the gal whom I helped out with a header for her food blog. She's also the friend whom I will be going to Vegas for in a few months to attend their wedding :D It was a little rainy on Saturday but not too bad. Most of the rain came down on Friday. We showed up with 2 bottles of wine and a 12pack of beers. I don't think anyone intended to drink as much as we did. We had some pretty decent Mexican food and went back to their hotel for more drinking. It was an interesting night because I hardly remember going to sleep, and I didn't say no to their plea to stay the night, actually, I had intended to rent a room there. After seeing how much we drank, she insisted that I just stay in their pull out sofa. Worked for us! That was really nice of them. We woke up yesterday morning to get free hotel breakfast and then head out. I could hardly talk in the AM. My head was pounding. Disgusting hangover, I just wanted to either go back to sleep or throw up. I did the latter before getting in the car and making our way home. We got here, took a shower, ate and sprawled on the sofa. I took a pretty long nap and woke up at 5 to do some cleaning and start dinner. Dinner was AMAZING. I made mini burgers on Hawaiian bread with cheese and bacon. I had 2 mini burgers and James had 3. They were SO good.
I finally got on the list for the cycling class on Saturday. That class starts at 9am but the sign up sheet is usually full by 8:15am. I got there and was the 2nd to last person. I was ecstatic. I sweat like the piggy that I am and then came home for a nice shower.
I really miss cycling, so I'm going to do my best to go to the evening classes at the gym.
I'm also heavier this time around than last year, so I am definitely going into crunch mode.
I have my 'test' today, I am a bit over it already. I am not a trained puppy to be going through these hoops.
I love uncle Sam (and also hate him, duh). I went to do my taxes and added James on so we could have joint taxes since he's not employed. It doubled our return. OMG. I plan to pay off bills and only have one credit card to pay off. I know I should pay it off completely, but I want to have a line of credit open - at least one. This will pay for our May Vegas trip and a visit to his parents this year. I'm really excited for this year. I also plan to make two visits over the border; one to visit my dads mom in Mexicalli and one to visit the family house in Tijuana with my cousins. I think James will enjoy the trips even though he thinks he's going to get kidnapped. LOL
