Filthy Friday

Jan 29, 2010 11:20

I woke up with a food baby.
I remember how i loathe eating after 8pm because I cannot sleep.
Met up with some friends for a late dinner of steak, broccoli and baked potato with 2 glasses of wine. Oh and some oreo dessert thing shared by 3. Too.Much.Food.

Granted I needed to get away and not worry about making myself dinner since I worked yesterday until 7:30pm. Yes, I was at work for 12 full hours with a half hour lunch. Horay or over time pay! :) Oh and I'm working over time today AND coming in on Saturday for a few hours. At least my next paycheck is going to be really nice.

I have, hopefully, my last interview on Monday for the new job. It's a proficiency test to see if I really know how to do what I claim to do lol They're sending me to their outsource designer so he can test me. After meeting with them twice this week, I would really like this job. No out of pocket medical expenses; none, not even co-pay. 13 days off a year paid (holidays off paid). Free lunch every Friday. Breakfast snacks, coffee, tea and unlimited drinks daily... AND FREE gym membership to LA Fitness. Casual dress code (jeans everyday) and I can set my own hours with no clocking in or out. This all sounds too good to be true. Also, everyone in the office looked happy and were very cheerful.

Been looking at apartments in southern Orange County and thankfully there are various surrounding areas that for an extra $100-$200 a month have available units. I figure with the money I'd save on my gym membership, not paying for medical insurance and an increase in pay, it would be a good idea to move. Who knows, maybe James could find a job in the area. The Air Force sucks and I think they're toying with us. It was something I thought would've been 'on' by now, but I guess they're just being difficult.

I'm glad it's Friday, so I'm going to try to do something relaxing tonight.
Maybe more LOST? James thinks I should take a break from it because it's so non-productive it just makes me feel lazy. Blah. We'll see.
