More Than Ever Hour After Our Work Is Never Over

I have been running on low fuel for a long time now, but I just keep reminding myself that soon enough, it will all be worth it.

Last week was extremely busy. Two nights I had to work from home during the evening to get a website at work launched. I did over 5 hours extra last week even though I could've done up to an extra day of work. I kept it low to A.) Please my Boss and B.) Keep some sanity. I stayed a few minutes on Friday to make sure everything was squared off before leaving for the weekend. I became really irritated with the fact that it was clear that NO ONE cared about work. This isn't my business, I shouldn't care as much as I probably do, but I don't like putting my name behind half-assed shit. Last week was NOT fun at work.

School is creeping up on me. It's really true how the last term flies. I have maybe 5 weeks left until I am out. I have a mid-term take home test to turn in today. I panicked because I COMPLETELY forgot about it until I moved my books around in my car this morning. The packet said 1 of 7 pages at the bottom. Shit me. So thankfully, I have always been one of those students that never failed the rule of thumb, READ EVERYTHING BEFORE DOING ANYTHING and lo and behold, when he printed the test, he accidently printed to the end of the teacher handout where the answer key is included in the back. Wow. That was easy.

James' best friend was in town this weekend, so he spent Friday evening and Sunday afternoon with him. He's officially his best man. I of course was in class Friday night and at my parents on Sunday giving Shadow a hair cut and bathing all the dogs. Shadow rules for not having ONE flea on him! I was a happy mommy. My dad is also building them a stand for an AC unit to keep their kennel cool.

I'm really happy that my dad has found some work. Its a temp job, but his mood has really improved since he started working. He is not the type to sit around and just expect things to happen for him; he's always worked his whole life, so having not had work was really affecting him.

I'm hoping this luck spills over into our home. James had an interview and might have a second interview at a job a friend of mine is working in and is really trying to pull some strings. It would be really nice if he got this job and it would even allow us to move so he can be closer to work and of course, so we can start saving up for this wedding of ours. :)

Leslie is coming over for a late dinner tomorrow so I'm trying to figure out what to make. I had thought about a Chicken Pot Pie a la CrockPot LOL But I'm not sure yet.... maybe some ribs.

Arthur is coming over Thursday to make an exchange of Peanut Butter Bars for some of my amazing Pot Roast! Yum! My friends are really lucky that I LOVE to cook.

ot, job interview, best man
