On A Lighter Note

Juno has been extremely easy to handle and very loving. I am constantly picking him up and he doesn't fight it anymore. He loves to nuzzle on top of my boob and spread out, it really is adorable.

Yesterday we took a walk and I lost track of time and arrived late to class. Thankfully it was the first day of that class and we just spent time talking about the class and then introducing ourselves. A girl in class volunteers at an animal shelter and she asked "Do you want to adopt a dog?" and it hurt to say no.

I miss having a dog home with me. I adore Shadow and I wish I could keep my baby at home.
Shadow is really the best dog (aside from his anxiety of being left alone) and he's so funny. Fausto, my HS bf loved him so much and when we broke up, he'd ask if he could visit my dog. Shadow was like a male dad; he always kept an eye on my S.O. and would test them to see how much he could get away with. With Arthur, he was probably the best. Arthur and him would sleep on my bed while I was out in the kitchen preparing breakfast, or I'd catch them watching tv and Arthur would be petting him as Shadow did his duty being a lap dog. He spent more time with Arthur than with any of my other BF's and his approval really was important. LOL He's only met James 3-4 times, but has never shown any discomfort.

I think animals are really smart and know more than we give them credit for. I have animal blood. I have yet to meet an animal that has disliked me. I go to the pet store and all the pets act so different with me. James had been scratching the window of black cats cage. The cat would look up and down and just laid there. I went up to it, put my hand to the glass and the cat looked up. I called it, put my forehead to the glass and the cat got up, meowed and started rubbing his head on the glass. It is amazing the reaction I get from animals. This is why I wanted to be a vet, but seeing an animal in pain; I would much rather see a human suffer.

Leslie is coming over Friday night and we're watching movies and drinking wine. Yum.
Saturday morning is gym time and then, James and I getting ready for dinner at City Walk since Jeff Dunnham is that night!! I'm pretty excited. I could use an evening of a nice dinner, some wine and good laughs.
Sunday I will go hiking in Palos Verdes with Mayra. The weather is disgustingly warm, and it should be nicer on Sunday and also clear. Should prove to have great pictures; I'll post some on Monday. :)
