I'm going to be a part of Library Appreciation Week this week by participating in the Poetry Rocks "coffe House". There will be music and poetry readings and coffe, hot chocolate, and cold beverages on sale. It's tomorrow (Thursday the 17th) at 7 pm. I'm actually kinda excited because i auditioned as a spur-of-the-moment thing. Patty Russum, Cody Hagley and I will be performing... and i don't know at what exact times, cuz we dunno the line-up.
So here's my poem!

I Go To This Place

I go to this place when i want
to feel at home; it is hard
for me to remain in one spot.
It smells of lilacs and cinnamon,
and jasmine and frankincense.
But though it wears natures perfumes,
its looks are jagged: all around
are many rocks, precious stones,
and gems of all kinds and values.

I go to this place when i am happy,
or feeling sad, or even when
i am angry at the world.
It is my extra shoulder
to cry on, or to cling to.
It is my vent to tell stories to
and to dream the day away with.
And every night it cradles me
in its blanketed arms, and
sings me to sleep.

I am in love with this place.
I am in love with this man.
I love My Ryan.

So tell me what you think! Should i change anything? I need to know by tomorrow though!
