I really feel bad that I only update this thing once every year or so. But I'm so lazy and blogging takes such effort. Blargh.
Had a nice 4th. Went to the lake with the girlfriend (littlemiss09), the girlfriend's friends, and the neighbors.
I am really ridiculously excited about The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger really appears to have captured the essence of the Joker, who in my opinion should really be freaky as shit. Batman Begins was amazing, so I expect more of the same from Christian Bale (who has rapidly become one of my favorite actors - 3:10 to Yuma is so badass) and Christopher Nolan.
I recently downloaded and watched the first Rebuild of Evangelion movie. It was . . . about what I expected, really, just a slightly modified retelling of the series through the fight with the Fifth Angel. Not that that's bad; Eva is a masterpiece, one of my absolute favorite anime. The little tweaks they made were pretty cool, but I'm really looking forward to remaining three movies, which promise several major changes to the continuity. The second one is set for release in "2008", which I find odd because it's rather late in the year and you'd think they'd have at least a month in mind by now if they were going to release it this year. I really hope they come up with a good ending. Unlike many fans, I've never really disliked either the ending of the series or the one show in End of Evangelion, but they were never very satisfying.
