Yesterday I had so much energy. Benjamin and I went to church, we ran a million errands, we cooked a complicated and delicious dinner, and we played together for hours. When the bear came home, we were both super upbeat and energetic. At five in the afternoon Benjamin and I were both as chipper as we usually are at eight in the morning. The bear and I even had a movie date after the dude went to sleep!
Today, I'm back to my usual energy levels (which includes a super-exhausted period in the middle of the day), and at first I couldn't figure out why. There was nothing immediately obvious--I hadn't had a fantastic night's sleep on Tuesday and not yesterday or something like that. But I did figure out the reason. It's not profound or anything, but it is significant to me. Yesterday was the first sunshiny, above zero degrees Celsius day that we'd had in almost a month. Today, the weather has been abysmal again. We started off the morning with a surprise blizzard/thunderstorm (btw, snow thunderstorms are so weird) that half shut down the city.
Anyway, I needed encouragement to remember to use the blue light every day, and now I have it! It's crazy how the mood of one member of a family affects the other members so intensely.
