Before my sad goodbye post to Lost I decided to answer the top 20 questions people seem to want answered about the show. Disclaimer- I know nothing though I wouldn't mind knowing Sawyer or some Jack

I like your answers, a lot. :D Actually puts my mind at ease for some questions I had forgotten! (totally missed the plane going to 108 before it took off...aww :)
Thought the significance of the numbers was made pretty clear that those were the numbers of the Candidates (and you know how much history I forget!!) And one Internet site had this funny T-shirt thing about the LOST finale that said: 5-23-10. Because it's all about Jack (Jack was 23 in Jacob's cave -- hee! :)
I think Oceanic 815 would have crashed even if Des had pushed the botton for Jacob was calling his candidates.
That's really interesting, and brings up the whole fate vs. free will debate. I always thought Jacob was more in the "fate" camp, but at the end, he said "You always have a choice."
Reminds me of the series "Dead Like Me," where if someone managed to skirt their own death, it meant that something else would have to happen to cause them to die anyway. That when your "number" (hee!) was up, it was up...and nothing you could do would change it.
I'll miss your LOST spec and answers...that was so much fun!! Now off to read your finale reaction. :D
