It seems that nothing came of that appalling message from earlier. Could that mean, despite the conviction and intensity that man spoke with, residents of this town are as helpless with their powers regained as they are without?

I'm concerned about this. Are we truly fighting a losing battle?

Perhaps it is not a matter of how much we wish to escape

I haven't been here long at all, and I'm not about to give up any time soon. It wouldn't matter if this place was like heaven, it still wouldn't be home and it still isn't my real family.

Success is unattainable. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not you fight until your last breath.

I'm simply trying to be realistic.
