Did this for a class project. The model is my parent's domestic worker. I chose the pop art style to reflect the ubiquity of having domestic workers in S'pore such that it has become our "pop" culture.
There're currently about 260,000 domestic workers in S'pore. Apart from their cultural dislocation and separation from their families, many of them also deal with long working hours. Unlike regular employees, they are not protected under the Employment Act which stipulates maximum working hours and leave entitlements.
There is a real DayOff campaign and it's website is www.dayoff.sg.
