Rampant politics within, just because I'm in that mood.
If there's one thing I came out of the debate more sure of it's that I I can't take 4 years of Obama's pronunciation of Pakistan and Taliban. Arg.
Good debate, and I think McCain came out on top...which he needed after the whole 'let's postpone this' thing this week.
And that wasn't elitism, that was McCain's strategy: make Obama look like he doesn't know anything and hasn't been around much. I think he accomplished that. He really hammered home how weak Obama is on foreign policy. I think Obama's strategy of tying McCain to Bush and shifting the focus from Iraq to Afghanistan was far less successful. He was really stretching it at some points. I think he'll be adopting a new strategy for the next debate.
And call me old fashioned, but I really didn't like Obama addressing McCain as "John." Now, McCain may have done the same, but I didn't hear it and if he did then it's okay. In a formal debate, address your opponent respectfully, huh?
Wish they'd said more about the economy more than "wait and see" and the moderator didn't help us out at all there.
All in all, McCain won but I'm not sure it was enough to sway anyone who is still undecided.
"I have a bracelet, too!"
