It's too early for this

Last night Ron surprised me with a real pearl necklace when I got home from school. It has a certificate of authenticity and a lifetime warranty, so if it needs restringing or the clasp breaks, it's covered under warranty. It may seem like a strange gift to those of you who don't see me very often, but I wear "fashion" pearls quite a bit. I have my grandmother's pearls, but the clasps are somewhat flimsy so I'm always afraid to wear them. They just sit in my jewelery box.

It was a really nice gift, and it's the first piece of jewelery he's ever bought me.

My neck and back are cramped up. I haven't slept well the past few nights. The stupid kitten is so active at night that she keeps me awake. Plus she slices open any body part that moves with her claws. My big toe suffered serious damage last night. Sigh.

Today I'm covering an event where Lieutenant Governor David Onley is speaking, as part of Accessibility Week at school. You might remember him from CityTV. He was the guy in the wheelchair who often did the news briefs, among other things. It should be quite interesting. I'm taking pictures too. Hopefully they'll turn out better than the ones I took for the RSU elections!

Also, Keira is coming to visit me tonight! It's her Reading Week and she's spending part of the week with her grandparents here in Toronto, so she's going to come over tonight when I get home from school. Although we've kept in touch and on good terms, we haven't seen each other in at least about two years -- I think. I'm very excited!
