Uhm, Okay. Since I have decided I should REALY update my LJ more, here it is.
Yesterday I’ve watched Twilight. And I am in doubt whether this was an hour of my life wasted or it at least provided me with some insight on Teen Movies during this current age. Of course I didn’t really went into this movie totally unbiased, after hearing so many ( Read more... )

Oh thank heavens there are still people out there who haven't been sucked into the Twilight craze!

I've read all four books and I actually liked them when I read them. Then I found my brain and looked back at what I'd read. All four books could be combined into one big puddle of clingy, needy teenage obsession (because what Bella and Edward have is not love). Those books (and the movie) embody everything I hate in a relationship and it drives me up the wall just thinking about the whole thing.

All four books seem to have this undertone that advocates staying in a dangerous relationship because "love is all we need". I hope that none of the guys or girls that read those books ever gets into an abusive relationship because Twilight practically screams that it's okay to stay in an abusive relationship if you "love him/her". It just makes me sick.

I've seen the movie four times because it's so funny. Seriously, I laugh so hard through the whole thing. If it's not the horrendous acting, then it's the frailer that is Meyer's vampires. Sparkling skin, seriously? That goes far beyond gay.

You're completely right about the plot, or lack there of. Nothing happens expect for a melodramatic obsession between a girl and a vampire. It's really amazing how popular this whole thing has become.

Wow, I didn't mean to rant on and on like that -sheepish grin-. It's just nice to see that not everyone is being sucked in by Meyer's books and movie.

I lolled at that! I have not read the books, mostly because I tend to avoid hypes. When things get popular I usually stop finding it interesting ^^

And yes the famous twinkling, I wonder what the bitch was smoking when she came up with that jewel (pun intended). And all the Emo-stuf going around. Like it freaking hurts to just get a fucking life... *le sigh*
But that's teen culture I guess. We like to feel sorry for our selves when we get to that age because NOBODY understands our pain~
I was Emo too when I was a teen, I listened to Nirvana and everything... luckily it's just a phase...
Thank you for your lovely and long comment ^^
*hugs*
