I seriously need some West Wing icons.
- CJ doing The Jackal almost killed me with laughter. I can't even think about it without cracking up.
- Josh Lyman is my hero. I want to be Josh.
- I really do think I'm in love with every single character, actually. Except Mandy, who is slightly irritating and seems to be getting less screen time with each passing episode.
- Allison Janney is a very striking woman. She's incredibly attractive in a way I find difficult to define.
- I feel sorry for Danny. I'm not entirely sure why.
- "Secret plan for tackling inflation" shouldn't be funny, and yet...
- Rob Lowe is insanely good at talking fast and kicking ass while doing so.
- In Excelsis Deo is by far one of the best Christmas episodes I've ever seen. I teared up multiple times during it, and yet the episode was so fantastically un-saccharine
- I also loved Celestial Navigation. Beautifully-structured and screamingly funny.
- CJ's root canal, oh my god.
- This show has the best guest stars. CCH Pounder! Edward James Olmos! Carl Lumbly! Jorja Fox!
- I am jealous as hell of Aaron Sorkin's writing skills. His dialogue... I'd sell a kidney to be able to write dialogue as amazingly as he does.
- Take This Sabbath Day was the most heartbreaking thing by the end. It was amazingly clever how it started out as a comedy and gradually become a tragedy.
- I think Donna is completely fabulous. Does anyone else? She's not a major character, but she's great. How can you not love anyone who compares their handwriting to Salvador Dali?
- I know we have Obama and all, and that's great, but I can't help but want Bartlet to really be president (that's weird, isn't it?). It actually seems strange when I remember that Martin Sheen isn't actually the president after all and that The West Wing isn't real.
- If I have just one complaint it's that Sorkin seems to be kind of fixated on race. Not necessarily in a bad way, but I'm starting to notice that the ethnicity of every black character in the series gets brought up in one way or another. He does make some important points with it to be sure, but it's getting distracting.
- I don't want to end on a downer, so I'll just proclaim my undying adoration for this series and leave it there!
