Running on Empty...

I haven't posted in forever, so I thought I'd take a quick minute to fill everyone in on what the heck has been going on.

Leslie has gotten 85% moved into her new and wonderful house. It's a beautiful house in a nice neighborhood and she adores it. I mowed the grass (front yard anyway) for her Monday afternoon, which doesn't sound like a big deal except that, years ago, I swore I was done with mowing grass. My dad made mowing grass kind of the pain-in-the-butt chore that no one wanted to do and I was stuck with it every Friday afternoon or Saturday morning for years. I hated it. The things I do for love.

Halogen had an extremely busy weekend. Saturday, we sang in Paducah, KY (city of my birth); then we sang in Scottsboro Sunday morning and in Madison Sunday night. This was easily our most profitable weekend to date; we raked in right at $2,500.00, all but $100.00 of which came from the Scottsboro and Madison gigs. What a weekend!

The Woman in Black is gearing up for our second run, this time at the VBC, and it's going to be awesome! I can't wait to really get the ball rolling on this one again.

Disney World is only 16 days away, people! I am so looking forward to this trip, it's pathetic. I've been itching to get away from everything for about a month now - my brain is just in dire need of some relaxation - and this trip cannot get here fast enough. AAARRGGGHH!!!
