In other news, I've been reading a most interesting drama called Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlow, about a scholar that sells his soul to the Devil for unlimited knowledge and power but is too proud to repent while he could. Idiot. It's so interesting to see how Mephostophilis urges and slowly encourages Faustus into a damnation that the doctor brushes off lightly (his snide quips to the side were the best). It's kind of hard to get into, but once you do it really brings out a dark, morbid sense of humor that every good reader should have.
I really enjoyed most of it, except for one particular line... " 'Faustus: But Faustus' offense can ne'er be pardoned. The serpent that tempted Eve may be saved, but not Faustus!' " ...excuse me? If I see that snake in heaven, I'll risk purgatory to throw it into The Fiery Lake. YOU HEAR ME, CHUMP? ...erm...sorry. *cough cough* I have a bit of Wrath leftover at my house- he came over for dinner last night.
