MUSE! Eeeeeeeee!!!!

Weeeee! Muse! M'kay, tis the first time I've used an LJ cut, so I'm going to do all of my entry. Oh, also, there might be a few spoilers for Pirates of the Carribean. I dunno, I haven't decided yet.

Wahay! I got the new Muse album on, um, Thursday! Black Holes and Revelations, weeeeeeeee!!! Scod, I LOVE Muse, They are so cool!!! I now have two of their cds and I've taped a whole lot of random interviews and specials with them, as well as some of their less played Music Videos. So if I get tired of fucking 'Time is Running Out' being played over and over again, I can go and put my tape in and watch Sunburn. Scod I love that song. I REALLY want that cd. Not that I don't like 'Time is Running Out', mind you. Matt's taut guitar playing is visually wonderful; it gives me shivers, everytime I watch it. As does his expression and the little fall he does with the eyes rolling back at the end of his solo in the video for Supermassive Blackhole. Everytime I see it I shudder.

It's true what my sister says, it's the little movements that musicians just seem to have that make a Music video great. The worst music videos are the ones where the band just plays but it's really boring. I much prefer the ones that have a storyline. But the best ones happen when the band plays, but there are little beautiful details and movements that you wait for, and look out for, that just make it so wonderful. It normally only works when you like the band, but that's why bands continue to do live videos, even thoughg most of them suck. A great video with the details is American Idiot, when Billie Joe presses his two fingers under his chin as though it were a gun, and then at the PERFECT moment, he blows it, and he looks perfect in that shot. Absolutely perfect. Even though it pisses me off when they play that video instead of a better one by Green Day, I still have to watch it until that scene.

Oooh, on Thursday I also saw POTC2. Okay, I really quiet enjoyed it, but the whole 'to be continued aspect really annoyed me. And up till about halfway through, did anyone else think that they were watching the first movie? Because they just kept using the same jokes and lines, it was like they thought, well it worked the first time 'round. And with Will's whole "I won't abandon you", they even left a pause where the line "Like you abandoned me" should go. But I LOVED the expansion of Norington's character. And Jack's. And Elizabeth's. And Keira Nightly can ACT! It's a miracle! So, some parts annoyed me, but on the whole I really enjoyed it. I just wished they'd wrapped it up just a little bit more, left a few less issued unresolved.

M'kay, I'm gonna go and listen to Take A Bow again. LOVE MUSE!!!!
