Remember how last year was possibly the worst NYE of my life, full of the entirety of Marin County flooding and the Macparents watching Serenity with me and totally *not* getting it? Yes! Exactly! Er, to all of the above, but especially the Amy-Donna conversation, because you wouldn't THINK a creepy song like 'Angel' would work PERFECTLY for an "Are you in love with him?" moment, but Aaron Sorkin is a genius who must have been WAITING to use this in an episode. And had it all planned out in his head. Like I do with songs. ;)

I love that I still enjoyed the fuck out of it, even though I knew that Zoey was going to get kidnapped. I also enjoyed the Taye Diggs, which was a V. NICE SURPRISE.

Also, you really don't want to know how many times I've cried at this damn show. Bartlet For America should have come with free Kleenex boxes.

I KNOW, RIGHT? Okay, you were probably looking for a more coherent response but I KNOW. Angel = my favorite use of music in a TV show ever, and that's saying a lot. I can't decide whether it's how the music blends in with the scene (and the clacking of the typewriter at the beginning), or how the lyrics line up and underscore what's happening, or how it's just so damn creepy and makes me want to crawl out of my skin.
