1. There's a store called Helo in a mall in downtown Seattle. Can't remember the mall's name --it's the huge multilevel one with the AMC movie theatre and an Il Fornaio and a Barnes & Noble on the bottom level. In any case. Helo. A store called Helo. Am depressed that I didn't get to go into it.

2. It has been in the low-to-mid-sixties [Fahrenheit] since before I left for Seattle, and is supposed to stay like this for a while. Whatever is causing this unseasonable weather: I entreat you, please stay! Everyone laughs at me when I say, "It's like a nice San Francisco summer day!" Whatever. It is. anniesj had a semi-contest this summer to find who had the highest heat index and humidity and temperature and whatnot. I commented, somewhat sheepishly -- it was 54 degrees.

3. My copy of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs and Sucking Dublin arrived yesterday, along with Patrick McCabe's Breakfast on Pluto. Am very amused that Patrick "Kitten" Braden is actually Patrick "Pussy" Braden. [Reminds me of Arrested Development! Waaah.] However, I am holding off on reading it until I [finally] see the film. Since I want to enjoy the film on its own.

4. ignited, I got the package! How's the renting of BSG going? I am waiting for your squee, girl.

5. Last week, it was pointed out to me that Radiohead's Motion Picture Soundtrack is a direct homage and response to The Beatles' Good Night. ...I am so dumb to not have noticed that before.

6. Anyone have any tips on how to get one's PC to recognize an external harddrive? Well, scratch that -- it recognizes the HD, but when I double click on the E drive, it tells me "The disk in drive E is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?" Which I don't. And I don't know what to do; it's been like this for a few weeks now. This whole "functioning with less than one GB" is not making Yossarian very happy.
