so hard to love someone who don't love you

Why is it that with every time I hear a different live recording of Death Letter, I get more and more obsessed?

Oh, because, SEX.

Also, I am baffled by the reference to "Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine" being "near-misogynistic" to the point where I half-suspect that the writer was trying to point out "There's No Home For You Here" but failed.

Nuh.

You're welcome for the link! And yeah, that "Girl, You Have No Faith..." reference was befuddling. I was like, well, it's about a girl, who has no faith in medicine, and he rhymes acetominophen with 'you see no medicine'... Yeah. But I kinda agree with what the writer said about Jack's cock-eyed (askew!) views about some things, like the early 20th century South and gender roles. Anywhoo. I should probably listen to "We're Going to be Friends". Haven't got there yet.

The White Stripes were recently in Newsweek, and I loved how Jack said something along the lines of 'I hate how parents of these kids want for us to teach them alternative music' or like its sad the kids look up to us as being a rock group...something.

I think Jack White singing "Jolene" will FOREVER be my favorite cover. It's just...GUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

If I don't see them live soon, I'll probably die. Listening to this show just re-affirms that. Ahhhhhh!

I need my own Jack White.

Well, since Death Letter is a cover...that's my favourite cover. BUT YES. JOLEEEEEENE. It's just so...damn.

Dude, they ARE touring soon. I'm sure they'll come to Eugene or Portland? You should check their site.

We all do.
