so hard to love someone who don't love you

Why is it that with every time I hear a different live recording of Death Letter, I get more and more obsessed?

Oh, because, SEX.

The White Stripes, Glastonbury Festival 2005

From a particularly screechy beginning of Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground to a twisty Seven Nation Army.

There are new songs (Blue Orchid, The Nurse, My Doorbell, Passive Manipulation, Little Ghost), concert faves (Death Letter, Jolene, Cannon, Screwdriver), medleys (Ball and Biscuit-My Doorbell-Cannon-Broken Bricks-Cool Drink Of Water-Ball and Biscuit, and I Think I Smell A Rat-Passive Manipulation-Music Man-I Think I Smell A Rat)...and it's just fucking awesome.

Aaaaand, White Stripes Dot Net has their NPR interview up in the downloads section, and will have the June 10th Midtown Festival show up soon.

Lastly, a perfect article -- exactly what I love about them, and what bemuses me about Jack sometimes. (Nightmarish version of St. James Infirmary? ME WANT.)
