it will be there with you, finding ways to stay solo

Proof that Global Warming exists: The weather in the San Francisco Bay Area. What is this rain I see coming from the sky? It's very confusing. I looked at the calendar and it didn't say January...

Proof that someday, I will be able to die laughing: Josh Holloway on Walker, Texas Ranger.

Proof that I am insane: I wrote a snippet of Marvin (the Paranoid Android)-meets-Lost fic at 2 AM this morning, then ended up posting it privately because I wasn't sure it would look good in the light of day. Basically, I am up to Mostly Harmless in my grand Douglas Adams read, and the end of So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish made me simultaneously maudlin and amused. Then I realized that Marvin mocking the Lost castaways would make everything better. Still not convinced it's not crap.

Proof that iharthdarth is still the best thing ever: I love you like I'm blind! I *need* to make the third panel into an icon. But resizing defies me. Hrmmph.

Proof that I am a girl: I went shopping and it was the best thing everrrrrr! Sismac and I went into San Francisco (all resplendent in rainbow flags) yesterday and bought lots of swag around Union Square and the SF Shopping Center. I bought a $5 orange tee from Urban Outfitters; 24 Hour Party People ($10), Songs: Ohia's Didn't It Rain ($13), and the Jimi Live At Woodstock double CD ($16) from Rasputin Music; the "Favourite" jeans from American Eagle ($29 plus discount!); and one of those BP black spaghetti strapped tanks from Nordstrom's. Then we hopped the 71 Muni bus to the Haight. Ahh, my heart's desire, the Haight-Ashbury district. There I bought the cuuuuutest plaid skirt for $5 at Buffalo Exchange (bam!) and black plastic chevron-shaped earrings for $4 at Piedmont, and a $10 japanese print belt from Wasteland. This is a huge achievement, as I haven't had a working belt since I was 10. Went to Amoeba Music as well, and if I said it was like seeing an old crush again, I wouldn't be exaggerating. And I now have my very own hard copies of Sigur Rós' Ágætis Byrjun ($16) and Tom McRae's All Maps Welcome ($21, but verily worth it). Rock. Ooooh, and a bum pulled gum off my pantleg. Nice of him.

Proof that Yossarian perhaps wasn't the best name for my computer: He's still dead. (It's Snowden's death, y'know. Got him all broken up inside.)

ETA: Proof that Bale, Neeson, Murphy and Nolan equals I'M SO THERE: Have plans to see Batman Begins tomorrow night.

lost, comprar, star wars, snowden spills his guts, yossarian acts up, amoeba, hahawesome, christian bale, weather, sigur rós, douglas adams, the batman, tomination, sf
