A 7.0 earthquake (equivalent to the '89 Loma Prieta) hit off the coast of Eureka, California, and after a few hours, the Tsunami warning has been canceled. The Tsunami warning for, apparently an area that includes all of California.
Well. That added a bit of surreal to my day.

As someone who has lived her life on the Ring of Fire, I am mostly amused by earthquakes. My fondest memory is of the Loma Prieta. My swimming pool decided to have a tidal wave of its own, and emptied half its volume on my backyard.
But tonight was creepy.
