I had an appointment scheduled with my GP for July 18th, which happens to be a Friday. I wanted to reschedule to a day I'm not working, ie: a Monday or Tuesday. They had an availability for when I'm at Pennsic, but I'd be at Pennsic and wouldn't be able to make it.

The earliest non-Pennsic appointment they could give me is September 2nd.

Wow. Thank goodness it's not an appointment for anything serious.
