The other day I made a statement that I just don't have enough going on in my life to "blog" about. Tom and Scott corrected me saying that there was, I just need to look closer. I think I will put more thought into that, and give it a try

First: If you decks are consistently aren't working, something is out of whack. All decks have harmony. Sometimes its just a matter of a few cards the deck itself doesn't like. Yeah, its 'out there' but its what I do.

As for the boardgame, nah, not dumd. It does take a while...and we think that getting to level 5 AND chasing down the boss is pretty rough. However, when the timer ran out, we decided to attempt to kill him for fun, we managed to squeek out the kill...but it took a lot of luck.

I disagree, magic to me, always seemed more than other games to be a game where a bad draw can and will break you.

Take L5R for example as a comparison. In L5R you have two decks, one of which in theroy you can be drawing 4 from a turn. You have abilities you can always perform with minimal resources (stronghold, wind, sensei) Also in L5R most of your strategy and abilities are going to be printed right on personalities, so you dont need to rely on cards in your hand to perform. In L5R generally the cards in your hand only support, they are not your lifeline.

Ah thats okay, it was nice seeing you. I was buzzed up, as we had just left a Halloween party, and we were slightly disgruntled as we were having some of the worst resturant experence we ever had.
