For so long I've been telling people that Not Fade Away is the greatest episode from a TV show EVER and now I realize the answer to that question is a tie! Because recently something else that's just as epic as NFA was made - The End. Yup, Angel S5's finale and LOST S6's finale.
I still haven't made a post about The End and I should. It's WOW! I never thought LOST will have a happy end but it felt good, it felt right. The Sawyer/Juliet moment alone made the episode for me. And Jack's dad opening the doors to Heaven for them in the end. *sigh* It was effulgent! And Jack dying. Going back to where it all started. The last shot. Pure perfection.
Not Fade Away is brilliant! There's nothing like it. I know not everybody likes it but I freaking love it! The way everything falls into place. The "last day" they all have. Spike in the bar! Lorne singing his last song! Gunn going back to Annie and Angel to Conner. The battle. Angel VS Hamilton and Connor coming to the rescue! Wesley's death! Makes me cry but I loved it. Lindsey's death too. I hate Angel for that but it was SO fitting and Eve-"Go where?" The end was kinda fantastic too 'cause it wasn't the end at all.
ANGEL
If the next words out of your mouth are "Kill Spike", we just might have to kiss.
ANGEL
I don't remember what it was like... being human. It was too long ago.
HARMONY
Not so great. Zits. Dandruff. Mortality. Although I do remember... my heart.
And the way it would thump when I kissed a really hot boy for the first time.
ANGEL

LINDSEY
Well, you get a little speechy, all right? And I breeze out. I got the Cliff Notes-honor and humanity. Absolute good. I heard it. So here's the plot twist-I'm in.

I'm thinking about rephrasing that.
LINDSEY
Yeah, I think I'd be more comfortable if you did.
ANGEL

ANGEL
People who don't care about anything will never understand the people who do.
HAMILTON

CONNOR

GUNN
