Late report is late.
But aaahhh omfggggg Weezerrrrrr. *_____*
Their tour was called the Memories Tour, in which they'll play their first album, fondly known as the Blue album, and their second album, Pinkerton, in its entirety over a course of two shows in each venue. I went to the November 26th show, which was them playing the Blue album in its entirety. Steph and I REALLY wanted to go to the Pinkerton one instead, but Ben and his friends didn't know it as well. So POO. Anyway, this was the second time I've ever seen them live -- the first was with the Foo Fighters in Long Beach. You'd think I'd have seen them more times than that being that I'm such a fangirl when it comes to them...
Best Coast was the opening band for them. I had no idea they were opening. It came as a surprise for me that I knew them, thanks to
lachraine randomly sending me a link to their MV for "Boyfriend" a few weeks before. They were alright -- a bit too sleepy and chill for my tastes.
Actually, while they were on. Steph and I went to the restrooms and ended up taking pics with this cut-out stand thing they did with their Blue album cover for lolz. Pic's somewhere below.
On with the show!
First setlist, they sang a few songs from each album, from latest to second to last (or in this case, first?).
Setlist #1:
Memories - A fitting opener.
(If You're Wondering If I Want Too) I Want You To - Haha they had Hurley/Jorge Garcia (yes, you read that right) join them for this song! XDb
Troublemaker - Rivers decided to be the troublemaker that he is and ran amok amongst us, which made me wish I had closer seats. I COULD'VE LIKE TOUCHED HIM, IDK.
Pork and Beans - I think he was still running around like a crazy.
Beverly Hills
Keep Fishin' - Brain sang this, d'aw.
Photograph
Island In The Sun - With Bethany from Best Coast. Such a cute song~
Hash Pipe - YEAAHHHH.
Falling For You
During intermission Karl came out and shared and relived some memories with us that ranged from old flyers when they used to play for free to random photos. He also paid tribute to Mykel and Carli. ;o; Then, Rivers walked out, ready to rock. Now, now was time for what everyone was waiting for!
Setlist #2:
My Name Is Jonas - Yeah, I think I started spazzing.
No One Else
The World Has Turned and Left Me Here - Apparently, this is the first time it's been played live since 1996!
Buddy Holly - Everyone sang along sooo loud!
Undone - The Sweater Song - I love this song...
Surf Wax America
Say It Ain't So - Everyone sang along even louder to this, too! I have a video of this if anyone's interested.
In The Garage
Holiday - First time played live since 2002.
Only In Dreams - First time played live since 2002.
Bethany from Best Coast.
