Had orientation today. It was largely useless, except that I got to meet all the faculty in my department. Except for the professor I am working for

Ah, I was mainly freaking out because going to college means that I'm almost an adult, and I'm not ready for that. Seriously, I'm sixteen and a half years old, and out of no where, I'm trying to choose what college I want to go to. I suppose they prepare you for this kind of stuff in school, but I'm homeschooled, so...
Thankfully, my mother found a college only about seventy miles away that might help me. I wanna learn how to make video games. Wouldn't that be cool? My sister could beat a game, and somewhere in there would be my name. ^_^ And it would be really cool if this show I watch called X-Play was still on the air then, and I could tell them that the show is what inspired me to be a game programmer, and if I was working on a highly-anticipated game, I could get on the show, and be on tv, and meet Adam and Morgan, and be famous, and that entire run-on sentence was just something really cool to think about, even if it's not realistic.
*blinks* I'm freaked out about a few things, worrying about silly stuff. For the past two days, my main concern has been "Oh no! I'm an insomniac! Can I work around that? What if I can't?"
...You know, maybe I should get a LiveJournal. I mean, I already have an online diary (I REFUSE to call it a blog. I don't know why, I just do.) at diaryland.com, but I don't know if anyone reads that, and it's no fun complaining to yourself. Maybe with LJ's comment system, I could at least get the impression that someone cares.

Computer game programming is cool as long as we can extract a promise from you that you'll never sell out and make terribly done games in half the time and claim they're the greatest thing since sliced bread. Programming is a little too math oriented for my abilities, but if you can do more than I can (which doesn't take much), more power to you.
I'm an insomniac too, especially in times of high stress. I worked around it at college. I was tired a lot, of course. And when you can't work around it...well, that happened to me and it was bad. But you survive.
But to end on an up note...LiveJournal is a lot of fun, if you have time to maintain it. Which, as people have been able to see, I have not. But get one anyway and get comments from random strangers.
