Two Towers: Breadbox Edition

Aug 25, 2004 15:24

Okay, Two Towers is now up. And as I said I would, I will now tell the story of the "a" in Rohan. As you probably know, I spelled Rohan "Rohn" in the original posting of this BBE. You probably thought this was a mistake. It was, and it was not. Here is how it happened:

This story starts back when I put up the Fellowship of the Ring. In that ( Read more... )

"D" is a fine letter, but do not focus too much of your time on it so that you forget the simple pleasure of "S" and "Q."

Only half of TPB memorized? Pfft! You have to have the script and the book memorized to make in my book!

Ah, but I said "At least" half. *blinks as she reads the rest of that sentence* The Book? You've read the book? Seriously? *glomps* YAY! I've never met anyone else who's read it! Zoo of Death scene was spiffy.

Okay, I only have the abridged version, but certain libraries don't have the original Morgenstern. Or a few Douglas Adams books. And some Tamora Pierce books. I swear, they specialize in every author except the ones I like. By the way, *points to last entry* Driving also helps people get from point B to point A very fast. People living at point C, a point directly in between the two, often wonder...

Never mind. You know where I'm going that that. ^_^

I love, love, LOVE that book! A friend and I performed the scene where Inigo has his soliloquy on lost glory and the author interrupts for our monologues in drama class (okay, there were two of us, so it wasn't technically a monologue, but we took turns talking to ourselves for a long time). "What happens here that you're not going to see is a five page soliloquy..."

I've have read all of Douglas Adams except Dick Gently's Holistic Dectective Agency. Why is that not in print in the US? You can get the sequel! Why can't I get the original?

I happened to find it in Hastings a while ago. I'm wondering if maybe the only reason I got it was because he's not popular where I live. Can't say for sure, though, since I know absolutely no one here. Seriously, I've been here for a year and a half, and I don't even know the people across the street. ^_^;;; I'm either anti-social, or shy. Or both. I can't really tell ( ... )

Nevermind. Just found out there is no Morgenstern, Florin, Guilder, or even a fat son of Goldman's named Jason. Morgenstern is Goldman's penname. Visited about twenty different sites, seeing if there was one that would list where they found out about this, but I didn't. Only thing that really convinced me is that I have a globe, and...I can't find the two countries. I'm still hoping that maybe they're just really small, and I DO have a bad habit of not seeing stuff that's right in front of me, but ( ... )

I'm very glad you found out there was no Morgenstern before I replied to the post. I wasn't sure how to tactfully tell you that there was no such person. So, I probably wouldn't have been tactful. I love Goldman. He says everything so straight, you have to question. Though, it is true that if you send away for the extra scene, they'll give it to you. We studied it in an English class at UConn, and our entire class sent away from the scene. They do it for free, and it annoys the heck out of the publishing company. The only catch is, if you have an older copy, the address isn't right anymore.
