Tetsuo

Richard and I watched Tetsuo last night, an underground-low budget-Japanese film from the 80's in black and white.

The film consists of very fast edits, flashbacks, nightmare sequences, camera twists, turns, runs, falls, climbs, zooms and all sorts of weird for the sake of weird.

The soundtrack is made with different sounds of metal hitting together and synthesizers.

In the beginning, this guy who is a metal 'fetishist' inserts shards of metal into his thigh; you can see his muscle and flesh until he bled everywhere then he decides to jog and mutate into some metal monster only to get himself hit by a car.

The guy who hit him, with his girlfriend in the car planned a hit&run by throwing the metal monster's body into a ditch of some sort and then did eachother.

Okay.

FAST-FORWARDING all these scenes.

The best part was when the guy who hit the metal monster, was infected and mutating into one himself during foreplay with his girlfriend.

He hides into a non-exisitent room with a door and exclaims "Don't look at me! It's awful!"
girlfriend replies "I can take it!"

Metal monster barges out with a giant spinning drill for a penis says "You can take it?!"
then fucks girlfriend.

Richard made delicious, possibly the best cookies ever (from scratch!) before the film so we just kept eating cookies during it.

cookies, robots, richard
