My caravan weekend [Public: Photos]

Back from a weekend in a (rather nice) static caravan in Burnham on sea. Spent most of my time feeling horribly ill, (this hasn't changed, hence me being currently sat at home in a dressing gown feeling very sorry for myself) but having a rather good time nonetheless. On the first night we went out to the nearby beach. It's in the firs photo behind the cut below, looks pretty doesn't it? Nice colourful sunset over the water... Well, it was all fine apart from the smell. It was the worst smelling beach I have ever been to. It was worse than a sewage treatment plant or slurrey silo. Bad enough to make me feel physically sick, and I had to leave. Instead we went back to the caravan and watched Scrubs. :)

On Saturday we went off to Brean and took a walk around the peninsula to see the old abandoned military base, Brean Fort. The rest of my photos come from the walk and the fort. :) It was a glorious day, Jordan loved it, and Tianna only whined and complained a little bit, so a success generally! In the evening, kissycat1000 dragged us all to see the Haven "entertainment". :| She even sang (and bopped!) along to Busted. But when I threatened to video it she refused to cooperate, bah. :p

Sunday was spent mostly lazing around, then cleaning and packing. In the afternoon, kissycat1000 and I tried our hand at a bit of archery. Turns out I'm a pretty good shot (and so is she, despite what she says)! Not one missed the target, several 'gold' hits, and a perfect bullseye. :) It's something I've always wanted to do, so I shall have to look up local clubs and see if there are any suitable for me to join. :)

Alright, enough waffling, here are the photos...

I may have got a bit carried away with the texture and colour of the metal left to corrode in sea air for decades...

not well, holidays, walkabout, photography, weekends away
