Post Op Visit #2
Two weeks post op, and the outer stitches came out today. There are internal stitches that are going to be removed next week. I had 3 view X-rays done of my foot, and I got a printed copy. The bones are in proper alignment now, with a little button about the size of a pencil erase in metal wedged next to the bone. That's prolly the part that aches so badly if I walk too much.
I keep doing what I'm doing so far. A repeat X-ray will be done to make sure the bones remain in alignment. If they're still lined up where they should be, no loosening or problems with healing, the post op appointments can stretch out. I'll need the air cast for a while after that, but then I don't have to use the covering during showering and can put more weight on my foot.
