oh, I forgot to mention yesterday: I've now officially begun my seventh month. whee! Three more months of back pain to go. :)
Well, it's worst when I first get up in the morning. It's like my lower lumbar and sacral region is a freakin' board. After some stretching and walking about, it feels a bit better. That's not to say that it's uncomfortable to get up from a cushy chair later in the day, it's just at its most painful when I have to haul my pregnant butt out of bed.
Indy is probably starting to outgrow some puppy-ness. He's sleeping all the way through the night, and doesn't jump up on the bed at 5:30 am anymore. He waits until the alarm goes off at 5:45, and actually has to be coaxed outside to go pee. This morning, his usual playful running away from me when I try to leash him aside, he still wouldn't sit still as I hunker down to leash him. Okay, it prolly takes me about a minute to get into the squat position to lean down to leash the pup, but even yesterday he was able to hold still long enough. Today, not so much. Then again, Jay really examined how I did it, and basically pronounced it the horse stance from karate, with my hips thrown back when I lean forward.
My parents stopped by yesterday so mom could drop off stuff from a church friend of hers. They beat a hasty retreat before Jay got home, but at least my dad showed up to bring my mom. He did mention right off the bat that Indy doesn't respect me, since his puppy-ness isn't gone enough that he wants to rush out to greet strangers. My dad is of the "respect = total obedience" school of thought, and completely dominated Indy inside of two minutes. Dad didn't once comment on the house, though he did comment on the roads in the neighborhood, since they're so hilly. I guess it's as good a start as any, tho.
I think Maddy's turning into an evening person, tho. She gets all fluttery in the morning, but there's way more activity in the late afternoon and around dinnertime. If she's anything like how I was before, her natural rhythm will be 10 am to 2 am. That's not cool for the work schedule I have now, tho it's too soon to tell. it's not as if she can tell time in my belly. :)
