Man, I miss Semagic. :(
Anyway, update time! Thursday I spent at the office tidying up and prepping for the holiday weekend. As a fellow, the cool thing is beeper call. Not that I was on this week, but the fact is that I'm not guaranteed hospital time on weekends or evenings. I have a predictable office schedule (more or less; the school time will increase once the school year actually starts) and can plan ahead for things like dog park visits during the week and stuff. Whee! I start seeing my outpatients this week, so I'm working on my onservice notes and I'll be asking how that goes here vs. adult OPD work.
Thursday, since everyone was let out early, I got home by 3 to find my hubby cracking out on SWG and my puppy in the living room content with a bone. Of course he started jumping up on the couch to interact with me while I started settling in or tried reading a pregnancy book. Rich stopped by so we had dinner and saw Hancock at the theater close to home. Friday was all home stuff. I vacuumed and did laundry while Jay did some grocery and Home Depot shopping. I did some stuff for the fellowship in the afternoon while Jay watched a movie and napped, and then after dinner we cleaned up the backyard a bit and Jay mowed. Ooh, it was neat again, and we could see the puppy in the yard easily. :) Jay and I wound up getting back inside to watch a movie, since we couldn't really see the neighborhood fireworks through the trees and he didn't really feel like watching the Macy's stuff. Indy was a trouper, and wasn't scared of the fireworks at all. With my back hurting the way it was, any sitting down on my part and not having to chase him around while freaked out is a good thing. :)
Saturday was a BBQ at a friend's house. Ed was cool with Indy being over, and he did really well. He sniffed out the yard, found random toys to play with, was pretty good about not jumping up (much) on people and wasn't really begging for food. He's such an attention whore, but in a good way. :) Everyone loved his temperament and how nicely he played with them and wasn't freaked out by newcomers or Ed's cousin's Poms that were barking up a storm in the house. When they went out at one point, they showed that they really weren't socialized well. they didn't want to sniff him or be sniffed, running away instead. That led to lots of running around the yard and good exercise for Indy. :) He slept really well that night, that's for sure. And Sunday was our usual game time, which was more RP than dice rolling. Indy was pretty good, though he jumped up on Rich's couch a lot to bark at the dogs across the street.
All righty. Break time over. Off to do more onservice notes...
