Jordin just has to win, Blake was never one of my faves. I still say it should have been Melinda, I can't believe they chose him over her. But of course, sometimes it's more about popularity than actual voice. Jordin definitely had the better performances, I wasn't feeling any of his. Maybe the first one and that was about it. And yes, I do love me some Chris=)

Melinda was definitely cheated. But it wasn't a great night for Blake in general. Jordin shouldn't have any problem sewing this one up.

Melinda was robbed. Period.

That said, I like Jordin, but I think Blake is the more original of the two. I hope he gets it.

Oh, I definitely agree about Melinda. She should've won this whole thing hands down.

Blake's going to have a solid career in spite of this, I think. And though I don't think he's going to win, I'm still buying his album when it comes out.

Vocal-wise, Jordin kicked Blake's ass.

See, if you're a country fan, you know "With A Broken Wing" very well. Martina McBride is one of the all-time best selling female country vocalists.

Oh, I know the song. I just had absolutely zero recollection of Jordin singing it before. But you're right, vocally, she had the night.

I just don't see why they cannot pick a good original song for the finale!! They all have the same formula and sound the same. Maybe they are not willing to pay (or find) good song writers?? Jordin sang that song on country week with Martina McBride.

I almost died when Chris showed up to perform (although when I thought about it, it made sense, since the guy from last year did the same with Bad Day.) You know it had to be sweet for him to come back after being kicked off in 4rth a year ago, performing a hit song from the biggest AI album of the year and not having to give up the sound he fought for. I just love him!!

That song just well and truly sucked, and you think with as much money as this show is pulling in, they could afford to pay somebody good to write the finale song. *sigh*

But it was wonderful seeing Chris perform. I love the album, and he is in the top 3 of my favorite AI contestants of all time, that's for sure.

I love both Blake and Jordin...I hope Jordin wins though so Blake isn't backed into a musical corner and he can make whatever kind of album he wants. I'll still buy both albums when they come out.

Yeah, I'm going to do that, too. Jordin's got a good enough voice and personality to go the distance and not be a one-shot wonder, and Blake has got the performer gene. He just charms me. I know some people don't get him, but when he's on, I like him more than Jordin.
