Salzburg trip Itinerary
Hey, so, I think I have my trip to Salzburg roughly planned out. It's quite loose because I like to afford myself "travel days" where I just get to where I'm going and then just relax and explore the area. Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for things to do in the areas I'll be in.
July 20: arrive in Salzburg in the pm. Find hostel with friend and who knows.
July 21-23: buy Salzburg 3-day card (visit Fortress, Hellbrunn, Untersberg, Mozart locations, etc)
July 24: visit Mirabel Palace and other locations not on the card.
July 25: friends depart to go back to London, I go to Werfen Ice Caves for the day
July 26: travel to Hallstatt
July 27: visit Hallstatt Salt Mines
July 28: return to Salzburg (or possible travel to near the Liechtensteinklamm Gorge if I can find affordable accommodation)
July 29: go out to see Liechtensteinklamm Gorge
July 30-Aug 3: I am still open with.
I'm really wanting to go and visit Lamprechtsofen, as I really like caves, but I haven't been able to figure out if there is public transportation to the location? I don't drive, so I can't rent a car. I attempted to email them, but I haven't received a response and that was at least two weeks ago. I'm currently still having a (lot) of computer issues so navigating some of the webpages has been difficult for me, especially when it comes to trying to get the sites in English. Basically... I really like caves and gorges.
I also might extend my stay in Hallstatt from 2 nights to 3.
