Comments: aaaah, this song is SOOO PRETTY. it fits Rociel perfectly, if you're familiar with the manga this short anime was based off of. dark, chilling, and hauntingly beautiful, the melody almost drives me to freaking TEARS. the little snatches of choir are perfect, and just...asdkljfaskf. there's a strange, almost heart-beat like sound throughout most of the song that just makes it even CREEPIER, and I love the whole thing. *flail*

Comments: HOKAY, SO. this? is one of the PRETTIEST songs I've ever listened to. I mean this seriously. it's a beautiful mix of all sorts of instruments, varying from the guitar to the BFlat flute to a fiddle to an accordion (I think. oO don't remember for sure), and they all weave in and out of the melody in a way I can't BEGIN to explain. there's a liquid beauty to this song, a sad, tragic beauty (and woooow, can you tell I like that kind of stuff?), and I STILL haven't figured out why the song was titled "Crested Hens" because it doesn't seem to fit at all.

Comments: so this one starts nice and calming, simple guitar and high, fragile flute, and then about a minute in it bursts into what SOUNDS like a bazouki or octave mandolin (I could be wrong) and a full-on orchestra with violins and drums and bass and YUM. this song is just AWESOME, and I've loved it for years. it feels almost Celtic, definitely like something from a fantasy soundtrack which, I suppose, it is. XD;

Comments: yeaah, you're all thinking "Ayu? instrumentals? wuuut?" but some of my FAVORITE songs of hers have been the instrumentals that she's got on her CD's. XDD this one's dark, almost INDUSTRIAL in feel (and by industrial I mean it feels like industry), with a strange, type-writer like feel to it that I LOVE. I'm not sure if it's a synthesized guitar or just synthesizer, but it's dark and gritty, and the bass line and the drum line are AWESOME. totally worth a download.
