Boggled

So I've got this client who decided last Friday that they HAD TO HAVE their online store up and running by this morning. When all they've ever sent me is a disk of product shots. No financial info, no SKU numbers, no prices, no legal statements, no contact info for the online shopper, no gateway preference or indication if they already had a gateway, nothing. When I called the guy up in a panic, he told me and I quote "TO wing it!" He was too busy to get any information to me. Or I could call some guy I've never heard of in New Jersey. After 5pm PST, on a Friday before a three day weekend.

"Am I just supposed to wing the 9 digit number for your checking account? I guess I can make one up. Won't work worth hill of beans. Or better yet, I'll make it MY checking acct."

Some reason he didn't find this funny.

I mean, what do these people think? That the credit card fairy just flies in whenever somebody clicks SUBMIT on their shopping cart, and whooosh! Goods and services get dropped at their door by the stork and change falls into their laps like Las Vegas?  I think they do! Dudes, setting up a shopping cart requires, like, 4,000 pieces of financial information, codes, authorizations, business history and sales projections, tracking numbers, UPS hook up, credit card processing applications up the ass, it goes on for days. This is a three week job, not three days over a weekend!

But, because I'm code goddess, the damn thing is up and running this morning, albeit we're waiting for that first charge transaction to clear an east coast bank on a holiday weekend. *snort*

EDIT: the idiot just emailed me to say thanks, but he doesn't like the shade of green I've chosen for the background. Can this be fixed right away, it's a HUGE issue. Green? GREEN? I didn't sleep all weekend so I could run 50 miles worth of admin hurdles so I could get the banking and shipping and taxation and online security systems to agree with each other and he's annoyed by my choice of GREEN?!?!
