One of our assignments for Creative Imaging is to create a proposal for a photo essay, then shoot it, print it, and lay it all out for publishing. It's a great project but very intense. For mine, I chose to "document new photographers" who choose to work in black and white media. The only photographer involved is me, of course, so I also had the challenge of shooting/printing to emulate different styles. I think I've been at least moderately successful in that regard. The three genres I focused on were Fine Art, Dance, and Fashion. Over the next few days, I'm going to post the body of work I included in the article. Today is the title shot. The final version actually appears without text, due to formatting issues, but I'm using the version with text so the title is clear. Everything was shot on film and printed by me, then scanned.
